| Adults Ministry Philosophy |
| We believe that God desires men
and women in the local church to be equipped both to live lives pleasing and
surrendered to Christ, and dedicated to ministry and service in the community
of believers and to the "lost and undone" in the community around them.

- The plan of ministry preparation for all new people to Calvary Bible Church
will be to introduce them, where needed, to Christ and the Christian faith, and
then to the Spiritual Life & Ministry Plan of Calvary Bible Church.
- The plan for equipping will include a progression for each person through a
period of weeks, months, or years - culminating in his or her participation in a
group-based ministry/service team (i.e. L.I.F.E. Group and/or IMPACCT Small Group),
through which the person will impact his or her spheres of influence.
- The equipping process entails following a plan that encompasses three phases
through which people will be prepared to bring impact:
- The first phase for new people to the church is
"Welcome Home". At the conclusion of the first phase, people will be
given the opportunity to enter into a mutual covenant ("Calvary Covenant
Keepers" a/k/a covenant membership) with Calvary Bible Church, in order to
become affiliated with the church and to participate in and through it,
primarily through their involvement in a community building L.I.F.E. Group.
- The second phase, for those who become Convenant Keepers, is to
participate and grow while they receive needed equipping training for life
and ministry through Calvary Bible Church's Equipping Connection ministries
(including classes, seminars, conferences, field trips, discussion panels,
concerts and other events & opportunities). Additionally, Calvary Covenant
Keepers will join a "Doing Life Together" L.I.F.E. Group wherein they will be edified and
further trained for life and ministry in the context of a healthy, life-giving,
community-building group experience. When possible, and as is appropriate,
Covenant Keepers will be assigned or encouraged to join L.I.F.E Groups with
other Covenant Keepers and leaders who are similarly situated in life (e.g.
age, marital status, age of children, etc.).
- The third phase is for trained and maturing disciples of Christ who
continue to grow together with a L.I.F.E. Group of others for the express purpose
of ministering and serving, bringing about spiritual impact to transform their
church, community, culture and world. Members of these small groups, called
"IMPACCT" groups (Impacting the Market-
Place, Aiding Christ's
Cause Together), will meet periodically throughout
the week or month for growth, community and edification, then join together at
another regular time per week (or month) to carry out their ministry or service
in the church or community as an IMPACCT team.
