| Christian Assistance Program |
Our vision is not just recovery but to go well
beyond recovery so you can fully discover, explore and magnify all possibilities
God intends for you as an individual.
Almost everyone has the need to recover from or overcome something in his or
her life. Christian’s Assistance Program (CAP) is a group of recovering
Christians dedicated to mutual sharing of faith, strength and hope as we live
each day in recovery.
We work to regain and maintain balance and order in our lives through active
discussion of the 12 Steps, the Bible, and experiences in our own recovery from
abuse, family dysfunction, depression, anxiety, grief, relationships and/or
addictions of alcohol, drugs, food, sexual addiction, or other unhealthy
dependencies.

The Twelve Steps |
- We admitted that we were powerless over our dependencies-that our life became unmanageable.
- We came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
- We made a decision to turn our will and our life over to the care of God.
- We made a searching and fearless inventory of ourselves.
- We admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
- We were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
- We humbly asked him to remove our shortcomings.
- We made a list of all persons we harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.
- We made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
- We continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.
- We sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry it out.
- Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to others and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

Our Journey |
To admit our imperfections doesn’t mean we are not good Christians, it
means that we need God.
Just because we are Christians our lives are not automatically in order,
and we do not always experience peace and serenity.
Many Christians suffer from addictive traits or have a loved one who does.
With God’s power, the Twelve-Step program can be a tool to relieve our
suffering, fill our emptiness, and help us extend God’s presence in our
lives.
We walk this journey one step at a time, with God’s help & support from
others.
Both mature Christians and those who are just being awakened to a personal
relationship with God can find tremendous value in the Twelve Steps. The
steps become a means for enriching one’s relationship with God. By
applying these steps to the events of one’s life along with prayer,
meditation and Bible study they become especially powerful.
