worship-together

This Sunday

Let’s face it! We lead busy lives. With all that we do, day in and day out, our walk with the Lord can quickly turn into a race against ourselves and the clock. While it’s true that we are “running the race to win the prize”, sometimes we need slow down and take time to hear from the Lord.

Each week, this is where we will be posting our focus for the coming Sunday’s worship time. It is our hope that you will use this to prepare your heart and come, eager to worship Him!

We hope to see you Sunday!

As we celebrate America’s independence this weekend, let us remember where our true independence comes from. It is only in Christ that we are truly free. John 8:34-36

"34 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35 Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."

So in the midst of cookouts, parades, and fireworks we hope you will take time to be thankful for this eternal freedom through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Then come and celebrate with us on Sunday morning*!

Optimized-the-amazing-kreskinThey call him a mentalist. And if you watched The Tonight Show with any regularity in the 70s and 80s, you certainly will remember The Amazing Kreskin. I vividly remember watching him on TV as a kid. And even now, at the age of 77, he is still going strong. Watch this trick he recently did live on Fox News' Huckabee. (it’s not the best quality video but amazing all the same!)  DISCLAIMER: Posting the link to this video is in no way an endorsement of the predictions or opinions of The Amazing Kreskin or YouTube. No emails, please. ;-)  Here is the link:  Kreskin on Huckabee

Now, I don’t know how he did this trick. But I do know one thing: it WAS a trick. Kreskin can’t look into Mike Huckabee’s mind any more than I can. I know that. And if we were able to get a straight answer from Kreskin himself, he would admit the same.

Thankfully, the God we serve is not a mentalist. He’s not an illusionist, a conjurer, or a magician. When God looks into the depths of who we, He sees us through and through. No thoughts or desires are hidden.  (1 Chronicles 28:9). No tricks, no guessing, no mistakes. He sees it all! (Hebrews 4:13)

That is the jumping off point for Pastor Harry’s message this week entitled, “WHO IS THE LORD?:The God Who Knows Everything”. This is part two of Harry’s new series about the life of Moses. We hope you will join us as we continue this journey together.
